According to Russia Spetsstal's data, Russia yielded 56,500 tonnes of stainless steel products in the January to October 2009 period, with 4,600 tonnes of export volume and 70,900 tonnes of import volume, plunging by 49.4%, 50.2% and 47.6% respectively from the same period last year.

The association made a comment saying compared to the past few years, Russia’s stainless steel market this year is absolutely failure.
