Russian stainless steel imports up by 3.8pct MoM in December

According to Spetsstal's estimate, Russian stainless steel imports rose 3.8% MoM in December 2011, compared to the previous month, to 20,978 tonnes.
Imports of stainless steel flats increased by 3.7% MoM
Wire - 10.6% MoM
Seamless tubes - 4.9% MoM
Welded tubes - 98.9% MoM
In contrast, imports of stainless steel longs and slabs ingots decreased 19.2% MoM and 71.7% MoM, respectively.
