Shanxi Taigang Stainless Steel said that current supply of stainless steel for the Ministry of Railway’s 5,000 stainless steel cars has hit 87% of total order volume.

According to the company, the stainless steel business is expected to be the company’s key profit contributor this year due to a rebound in exports. The company plans to produce 10.07 million tonnes of steel billets in 2010 including 2.59 million tonnes of stainless steel up 10.4% and 15.94% YoY respectively.
