Sherritt International Corporation, a Canada based nickel and coal miner with operations in Cuba, has named chief financial officer Mr David Pathe to the chief executive officer post, replacing Mr Ian Delaney.

Mr Pathe takes up the CEO role on January 1st 2011. Mr Delaney, who has been at Sherritt and its predecessor companies for 21 years, will continue as chairman.
