According to statistics of Korea Iron & Steel Association, South Korea's output of cold rolled coil stainless steel in July 2011 totaled 102,200 tonnes, down by 3% MoM in comparison of 105,500 tonnes in June 2011.

However, the sales volume of CRC stainless steel in South Korean domestic market increased to 66,154 tonnes in July 2011 from 65,454 tonnes in June 2011.

Meanwhile, the country's exports of CRC stainless steel dipped to 33,378 tonnes in July 2011 from 38,491 tonnes in a month earlier due to weak demand in overseas market.

Besides, South Korea's imports of CRC stainless steel surged by 13% to reach 12,000 tonnes in July 2011.
