It is reported that South Korean imported 6478 tonnes of stainless heavy plate in September 2011, down by 0.7% MoM, a fall for two months in a row.

Among all imports, those from Japan came to 3346 tonnes, accounting for 51.7% in all and those from China amounted to 2067 tonnes, occupying 31.9%.

In January to September 2011 period, South Korean imported 67168 tonnes of stainless steel accumulatively, up by 155% YoY.
