Spitfire Resources Limited is pleased to advise that the recently completed drilling program at its Tally Ho Manganese Deposit in the Pilbara region has confirmed a significant north eastern extension to the mineralization.
The drilling program comprised a total of 18 RC drill holes for 692 meters to test for interpreted extensions to the deposit as well as nine diamond holes for 330 meters to enable an accurate determination to be made of the manganese seam width and grade.
Geological logging of the samples indicates that all but two of the RC drill holes and all of the diamond drill holes intersected visible manganese mineralization. The HQ diamond core has greatly improved Spitfire's geological knowledge and will assist with the downstream exploration targeting process.
The latest drilling has extended the area of known mineralization beyond the current JORC resource envelope to an area 670 meters long and averaging 210 meters in width. The mineralization remains open to the north west, north east and south east.
Spitfire Resources is also currently completing a detailed interpretation the results of the recently completed airborne EM survey over the broader Target Area which includes the Tally Ho Deposit. Numerous areas of interest have already been identified from this work.
