
It is reported that Taiyuan Iron & Steel Group, the largest stainless steel maker in China, has decided to cut the export prices of 304 grade stainless steel offers for February 2012 deliveries due to sluggish demand before the Christmas, dipping for consecutive four months.
After the adjustment, its latest prices of 304/2B cold rolled stainless steel coil with thickness of 2mm for February 2012 decreased by USD 100 per tonne from November 2011 to USD 2,900 per tonne. Also, it offered discount of USD 100 per tonne for customers who purchase more than 1,000 tonnes.
Besides, its prices of 304 grade hot rolled stainless steel coil dropped by USD 100 per tonne to USD 2,750 per tonne for February 2012.
