It is reported that Taiyuan Iron & Steel Group, the largest stainless steel maker in Taiwan, has planned to start the maintenance schedule in late December 2011, after its stainless steel output hit 3 million tonnes this year.

It's said that the company will suspend the production line of 300 series products for 4 to 5 days from December 27th 2011.

Meanwhile, the steelmaker just announced to cut the ex-works prices of 304 grade cold rolled coil, hot rolled coil and medium plate by CNY 900 per tonne, CNY 1,400 per tonne and CNY 2,000 per tonne respectively for January 2012.
