
Taigang Stainless may increase output by 34pct in 2009
Bloomberg reported that Shanxi Taigang Stainless Steel Co may increase output by 34% in 2009 as the nation's stimulus spending spurred demand.
Mr Chai Zhiyong VP of Shanxi Taigang Stainless said that production may jump to a record 2.4 million tonnes from 1.79 million tonnes a year ago.
Mr Lou Dingbo GM of stainless steel at Baoshan said that the stimulus spending has increased demand for stainless steel used in decorations for infrastructure projects.
