It is reported that 430 stainless steel, developed by Shandong Taishan Steel Group, has successfully gone through macroscopic test and thus, gotten the approval for market assess.

The move signals that Taishan Steel has achieved material progress in 400 series stainless steel development and becomes one of the few domestic steel mills mastering the technology. It also helps improve the mill's competitiveness and lower input costs.

The 430 stainless steel, a kind of low nickel ferritic stainless steel, has a nice performance in general or local corrosion resistance.
