It is reported that Taiwanese traders have been facing difficulty in Southeast Asian stainless market recently as the stainless steel prices are USD 200 per tonne lower there.
It is known that the stainless steel mills in China, South Korea and Taiwan have aimed to remain stainless steel prices at a reasonable level.
However, traders indicated that Southeast Asian buyers have bidden for lower prices; consequently, Southeast Asian stainless market has gotten into a price war.
Furthermore, some traders said that even they cut the prices to gain order in Southeast Asian market, they still failed in receiving orders due to weak demand.
