During the Chinese Lunar New Year Holiday, the nickel price in LME went up all the way to reach over USD 21,000 per tonne.

Taiwan stainless steel mills will announce the new price for February 2012 within this week and the new price will increase further than the previous expectation.

On January 27th 2012, the three month and spot nickel prices were quoted at USD 21,700 per tonne and USD 21,636 per tonne respectively.

It is estimated that Taiwan stainless steel mills will probably lift the price by TWD 5000 per tonne.
