China Metallurgical News reported that in the current year up to December 28th 2011, Shanxi Province based Chinese steelmaker Taiyuan Iron and Steel Co produced 3 million tonnes of stainless steel, achieving its production target for 2011 ahead of schedule.

As recently reported by SteelOrbis, in the first 11 months of 2011, Taiyuan Steel's stainless steel flat product exports reached 192,966 tonnes, down by 20.86% YoY.

Taiyuan Steel, China's largest stainless steel producer, exports to destinations including the United States, Germany, France, UK, Japan, South Korea and Australia.
