Talvivaara Mining Company Plc announces that it has reached its production target for 2011 full year production totaled 16,087 tonnes of nickel and 31,815 tonnes of zinc.

Fourth quarter production of 4,769 tonnes nickel and 10,524 tonnes zinc was a new quarterly record. The availability of the metals recovery plant improved significantly during the quarter and, after both production lines was brought back online in mid October 2011, was effectively at the level required to meet the 2012 production targets. Nickel grade in the solution pumped to the metals recovery plant remained steady at around 2 g/l.

Talvivaara will announce its financial result for the fourth quarter and full year 2011 on February 16th 2012.
