
According to data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute, Turkey exported 237,926 tonnes of chrome ores in June 2012, increasing by 68.4% YoY and rising by 7.1% MoM.
In June 2012, the country's export revenues generated by chrome ores amounted to USD 44.3 million, down by 3.1% MoM from May while soaring by 37.4% YoY.
In the first half of 2012, the country's chrome ore export totaled 1.07 million tonnes, up by 3% YoY. The export values generated by chrome ores were at USD 213.1 million, falling by 6.4% YoY.
In the given period of time, China was the largest importer of the Turkish chrome ores with 937,365 tonnes, up by 9.5% YoY; Sweden was the second largest one with 45,210 tonnes, decreasing by 46.8% YoY and Russia was the third largest one with 35,453 tonnes, falling by 7.9% YoY.
