
According to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute, in June this year Turkey's chrome ore exports amounted to 237,926 tonnes, rising 68.4 compared to the same month of 2011 and up 7.1% compared to May this year. Meanwhile, in June the revenue generated by Turkey's chrome ore exports totaled USD 44.3 million decreasing 3.1% compared to May this year and up 37.4% on YoY basis.
Meanwhile, in the H1 of 2012 Turkey's chrome ore exports increased by 3% to 1.07 million tonnes while the revenue for these exports stood at USD 213.1 million down by 6.4% both compared to the same period of 2011.
In the H1 of this year, Turkey's chrome ore exports to China rose 9.5% to 937,365 tonnes while the country's chrome ore exports to Sweden and to Russia decreased by 46.8% and 7.9% to 45,210 tonnes and 35,453 tonnes respectively, all compared to the first 6 months of 2011.
On the other hand, Turkey's nickel ore exports in June this year amounted to 71,950 tonnes rising 51.8% compared to June 2011, while in the H1 of the year nickel ore exports from Turkey fell by 21.4% YoY to 160,150 tonnes. The country's manganese ore exports in June this year reached 4,731 tonnes rising 65% while in the H1 of the year manganese ore exports from Turkey fell by 4.9% to 42,863 tonnes both on YoY basis.
