According to Turkish Statistical Institute, Turkey’s ferroalloy imports increased by 50% MoM in August 2011 and up by 104.5% YoY.

Meanwhile, the country's imports value of ferroalloy increased by 49.2% to USD 79.9 million in August compared to July of 2011 and rose by 100.8% compared to the same period of 2010.

According to data, during the first eight months of 2011, Turkey's ferroalloy imports rose by 17.3% to 299,672 tonnes compared to the same period of 2010.

Besides, Turkey imported 101,272 tonnes of ferroalloy from Ukraine in the first eight months of 2011.
