
Platts quoted the state statistics committee said that Ukraine's exports of ferroalloys decreased by 2.6% YoY to 809,420 tonnes in January to August down from 830,970 tonnes exported one year ago.
The committee said Ukraine's revenues from export of ferroalloys up by 81.3% YoY to USD 1.29 billion up from USD 712.42 million a year ago.
In January to August Ukraine exported 517,420 tonnes of silicomanganese, down from 614,600 tonnes exported a year ago. Exports of ferromanganese increased to 153,420 tonnes from 103,610 tonnes and exports of ferrosilicon rose to 36,030 tonnes from 18,080 tonne.
In August Ukraine exported 104,240 tonnes of ferroalloys, up from 103,550 tonnes exported in July and up from 84,090 tonnes exported in August 2007.
Ukraine produced 1.176 million tonnes of ferroalloys in January to August up by 0.6% YoY.
In 2007 Ukraine exported 1.217 million tonnes of ferroalloys worth USD 1.11 billion, compared with 1.198 million tonnes of ferroalloys worth USD 824.4 million exported in 2006.
