Vale resumes nickel output at Canadian operations after strike

Vale said that after its mining company in Canada was finally carrying out to raise nickel production after the strike hit its mines for eight months in the Canadian provinces of Ontario and Newfoundland and Labrador.

In Ontario, Vale has been operating in Sudbury for more than 100 years. Vale's operations in Sudbury are among the largest in the world.

In Manitoba, Vale's Operations is located in Thompson, Manitoba which is comprised of two underground operations Thompson Mine and Birchtree Mine, as well as Thompson Open Pit.

For Newfoundland and Labrador, Vale acquired the rights to the Vale Newfoundland and Labrador nickel copper cobalt deposits located on the eastern edge of a vast expanse of northern wilderness 300 kilometers north of Happy Valley-Goose Bay in Labrador in Canada in 1996.
