
According to traders, quoted price of 42% to 44% chips from South Africa at Lianyungang was still at CNY 83 to CNY 85 per tonne, 36% lumpy from Oman was at CNY 60 to CNY 62 per tonne, 46% lumpy from Philippine at Tianjingang was at CNY 90 to CNY 94 per tonne, 42% lumpy were at CNY 112 to CNY 116 per tonne and CNY 115 to CNY 118 per tonne from Pakistan and Turkey respectively and 50% concentrates chrome from India was at CNY 115 to CNY 118 per tonne.
Meanwhile, quoted price of high carbon ferrochrome from East China is at CNY 15,000 to CNY 15,500 per tonne, price from North China is at CNY 15,200 to CNY 15,500 per tonne, quoted prices from Northeast, Sichuan and Shanxi were stable at CNY 15,300 to CNY 15,800 per tonne, CNY 15,200 to CNY 15,600 per tonne and CNY 15,300 to CNY 15,600 per tonne respectively. Quoted price of ferrochrome 55C50 from Southwest was at CNY 22,500 to CNY 23,500 per tonne, CNY 23,300 to CNY 23,800 per tonne for ferrochrome 55C25 respectively. Quoted price of ferrochrome 55C10 from Jiangsu was at CNY 23,800 to CNY 24,300 per tonne from Northwest and Northeast was still at CNY 26,500 to CNY 27,000 per tonne.
Domestic ferrochrome transaction went smoothly but export market was a bit hard. Most producers were under their contract. Inner estimate there are still about 700,000 tonnes inventories at port, so supply market is sufficient. As a result, later chrome market will keep stable.
