Taiwan's Yieh United Steel Corporation is going to announce the new price policy for May 2011 delivery on April 29th 2011. Market participants predicted that YUSCO would raise the stainless steel.
It is known that the average prices of nickel have soared by USD 2,500 per tonne averagely in April. It's estimated that Taiwan's stainless steel mills would increase the new quotes by TWD 6,000 to TWD 7,000 per tonne.
Furthermore, as the production costs have been pushed up continuously by the prices of raw materials such as nickel and chrome, it is said that steel mills might keep increasing the prices to reflect the high production costs.
