
It is reported that Taiwanese Yieh United Steel Corporation has announced to cut the domestic and export prices of 300 series stainless steel products by TWD 3,000 per tonne and USD 100 to USD 150 per tonne respectively for October 2011 shipments in response to slumped nickel prices at LME.
Besides, the company remained the domestic and export prices of its other stainless steel prices unchanged for October deliveries.
YUSCO indicated that it decided to cut the domestic and export prices of 300 series products, considering to the current market situation. It's known that the global commodity market has been fluctuating due to the debt crisis in Europe and the US.
Industry sources predicted that Tang Eng and Walsin Liwa, the other two major stainless steel mills in Taiwan will also decrease the prices for October shipment after YUSCO's price cut.
