Yeun Chyang, one of the major stainless steel service centers in Taiwan, announced that its January 2012 sales revenue were at TWD 1.697 billion, decreasing by 15.28% YoY and dropping by 27.66% MoM.
The company stated that its January 2012 shipments were less than that in December 2011 due to long holidays.
However, Yeun Chyang's manager said that the shipments in February will be at about 23,000 tonnes to 25,000 tonnes, better than that in January 2012.
Furthermore, Yeun Chyang said it has already received almost 80% orders for March 2012.
For the prospect, Yeun Chyang expected to have good performance in March if the nickel prices stay firmly at the level of USD 20,000 per tonne or higher level.
