Tailored for intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance missions, Flexrotor's autonomous capabilities and innovative design align with Airbus' vision to meet escalating global demand for unmanned solutions. The acquisition, pending regulatory approvals, is anticipated to culminate in 2024, propelling Airbus to new heights in the realm of autonomous aviation.


Airbus Helicopters is set to fortify its tactical unmanned solutions with the acquisition of Aerovel and its flagship unmanned aerial system (UAS), Flexrotor. Specifically designed for intelligence, surveillance, target acquisition, and reconnaissance (ISTAR) missions, Flexrotor's compact yet powerful features position it as a valuable asset for operations at sea and over land.

Bruno Even, CEO of Airbus Helicopters, expressed eagerness about this strategic move, emphasizing its alignment with the company's vision to meet the increasing demand for mission capabilities like manned-unmanned teaming.
