Since 2018, Audi Brussels has been manufacturing the Audi e-tron, the first full-electrical model from the brand with the four rings and the 100,000th Audi e-tron left the site’s finishing line recently. The anniversary car is a Daytona grey Audi e-tron Sportback 55 S line Quattro, scheduled for delivery to a Belgian customer soon. The new era began at the end of 2018, with the completion of the Audi brand’s first fully electric cars at the completely renovated and CO2-neutral Audi Brussels production plant. The high-voltage batteries of the Audi e-tron are also manufactured at the same Audi site.
After the successful market launch in spring 2019, the production of the Audi e-tron Sportback, the especially dynamic SUV coupe variant, started in the early part of 2020. The Audi e-tron S and the Audi e-tron S Sportback, the sports variants equipped with three electric motors, followed in August 2020.
The Audi e-tron was the world’s best-selling electric car among German premium manufacturers in 2020. The model was even the best-selling car in terms of overall sales in Norway last year.
