A new culinary venture, "Four Twenty Five," has emerged in New York, nestled within the exquisite confines of Foster + Partners’ architectural marvel, 425 Park Avenue. This gastronomic haven, curated by Jean-Georges Vongerichten, unfolds across the initial two floors of the tower. The visionary design incorporates a cocktail lounge, intimate dining spaces, and an enchanting mezzanine level, boasting a glass-fronted show kitchen and a bespoke lighting installation.

Norman Foster, Founder and Executive Chairman of Foster + Partners, expressed, “Four Twenty Five encapsulates the very essence of Midtown Manhattan, embracing the spirit of the locale with meticulous attention to detail, from bespoke furnishings to captivating artwork, offering an unforgettable dining ambiance on the grand boulevard of commerce.”

The entrance to the dining sanctuary begins at the first-floor cocktail lounge, leading patrons upward via an elegant sweeping staircase to the mezzanine dining area. Timber-panelled interiors gracefully overlook the lounge, enhancing the intimate ambience of the bar area. Adorning the space is a striking 24-foot artwork by esteemed American artist Larry Poons, infusing vivacity and color into the surroundings.

The mezzanine dining space, accommodating 80 guests, boasts a glass-fronted kitchen, allowing diners a captivating view of the culinary artistry. Overhead, a bespoke lighting installation, featuring 231 elliptical ORSA fixtures by Foster + Partners’ Applied R+D team, elevates the dining experience.

Crafted to offer an unparalleled culinary journey, the restaurant employs a refined material palette of dark wood, terrazzo, and metal, complemented by ambient lighting. The immersive show kitchen offers guests a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the creative gastronomic process.

The NF Collection, a bespoke line of furniture by Norman Foster and Foster + Partners Industrial Design in collaboration with Karimoku, graces the space. Walnut and burgundy leather exude elegance, reflecting the organic form and finesse of the collection, elevating the dining experience.

L&L Holding Company, the developer behind 425 Park Avenue, played a pivotal role in the restaurant’s development, marking a significant milestone in fostering exceptional culinary experiences within architectural excellence.

Conclusion:

The grand opening of "Four Twenty Five" at 425 Park Avenue signifies a harmonious union of architecture and gastronomy, offering a sophisticated dining escapade amidst an artful ambience. This culinary venture, meticulously designed and crafted, promises to redefine the art of dining in the heart of Midtown Manhattan.
