Peab has been commissioned to carry out an extensive renovation of rental apartments for Helsingin kaupungin asunnot Oy in Jakomäki in Helsinki in Finland. The contract is worth EUR 22 million. The project entails an extensive renovation of three high-rises built in the years 1968-69. A total of 210 apartments will be renovated.The buildings will be updated according to modern standards. Even common areas like basements and saunas as well as the yards will be refurbished. In connection with the renovation the buildings’ energy efficiency will be improved and a solar panel system will be installed.The project is a turnkey contract. Construction starts in February 2022 and the project is expected to be completed in November 2024.
