Peab has been commissioned to build Volvomotet on Hisingsleden in Gothenburg. The customer is the Swedish Transport Administration and the contract is worth SEK 154 million. The project is a turnkey contract. Production of this stage will begin in the autumn of 2021 and continue until the summer of 2024. The stage Volvomotet is part of the restructuring of the southern section of Hisingsleden to improve safety for all kinds of traffic and increase freight carriage capacity. Rebuilding Volvomotet includes widening a kilometer of Hisingsleden into a four lane road with a center guardrail, a bus lane, an overpass interchange, a roundabout and a new pedestrian and bicycle lane.
