Leading European coking coal supplier Polish JSW announced that radio control at the material stations in KWK Borynia-Zofiówka Ruchu Borynia, the loading and unloading process has been improved, while increasing the safety at the operator's workplace. In Ruch Borynia, transport sets equipped with radio control are at the levels of 950 m and 838 m, i.e. in the most sensitive points of the mine. It took a year to develop the control as it is today. Now, using the remote control, it is possible not only to drive the tractor, but also to manage a set of transport means, i.e. beams on which wagons, containers or directly materials are suspended. The current hydraulic control of the booms is operated from a distance limited by hoses, which reduces the mobility of the operator performing the loading. Radio control allows to independently control one or the other winch or - depending on the needs - to control two winches simultaneously. The radio control module is placed in a special pull rod between the beams. The rods that connect the individual beams have received an additional function: they no longer only serve to couple individual beams, but also protect the solenoid valves and control the beams. At the transmitting and receiving stations, due to the increase in loading efficiency, the suspended monorail rails are installed at a height exceeding 3 m. In the case of hydraulic control, it was necessary to build special platforms to facilitate the operator's access to the manifold. Thanks to the radio control, there is no need to look for additional technical solutions. The operator, standing on the floor, from a safe distance, uses the remote control to pull up and lower the winch chains.
