Vale announced that new venture The Serpentina Project’s annual production will be 26.5 million tonnes of wet pellet feed and 23.9 million tonnes of dry pellet feed. The areas where the mining activities will be carried out are located in the north & northeast portion of the state of Minas Gerais in Brazil, located approximately 174 kilometers from the city of Belo Horizonte.From these areas, the development will have a pipeline of approximately 115 kilometers, heading towards the railway yard located in the municipality of Nova Era.The project is located in the following municipalities: Conceição do Mato Dentro; Dom Joaquim; Pillar Hill; Carmesia; Santo Antônio do Rio Baixo; São Sebastião do Rio Preto; Itambe do Mato Dentro; Take care; Santa Maria de Itabira; Nova Era and Antônio Dias.
