Leading Russian mining and metals company Mechel announced that over the 12 months of this year, Mechel Group's mining divisions have received about 270 units of machinery and auxiliary equipment, of which over 80 are large-sized machines and units. The most large-scale technical re-equipment affected the subdivisions of the Southern Kuzbass coal company, for which more than 100 units of new machinery and equipment were purchased, including mining dump trucks, bulldozers, and auxiliary equipment. All vehicles use the online dispatching system implemented in Yuzhny Kuzbass, which increases the productivity and efficiency of the work performed. The new equipment is involved in the transportation of overburden, as well as in the transportation of coal from open-pit mines to concentration complexes and to shipping points. 39 new components and assemblies have been put into operation at the concentrating plants of Southern Kuzbass. At the enterprises of the Yakutugol holding company, 74 units of machinery and equipment were put into operation, including dump trucks, an excavator and dump cars for the transportation of bulk cargo. This year, due to the difficult mining and geological conditions in the Neryungrinsky open-cast mine, increased attention was paid to the renewal of pumping equipment for pumping out groundwater and preventing watering of mining areas. Two new centrifuges for removing excess moisture from the concentrate and three magnetic separators have been installed at the Neryungrinskaya concentration plant. The factory continued a large-scale renewal of its slurry pump fleet. For the enterprises of Korshunovsky GOK, 90 units of machinery and equipment were purchased, including mining dump trucks, excavators and a drilling rig. This technique is involved in the transportation of ore in the Korshunov open pit, as well as in mining operations in the Korshunov open pit and the Rudnogorsk mine, including at significant low temperatures. At the concentration plant of the Korshunovsky GOK, new pumping equipment was commissioned, as well as a press for the vulcanization of the conveyor belt. New hydrocyclones have been delivered to the enrichment section of the plant this year.
