ScottishPower, already a trailblazer in renewable energy with 100% renewable energy generation operations, extends its commitment to green initiatives. The collaboration seeks to explore clean power requirements and hydrogen production infrastructure for potential ZeroAvia sites, contributing to the broader goal of achieving a zero-carbon future for the aviation sector.

ZeroAvia, having recently secured a substantial engine agreement with Ecojet, aligns with the Scottish Government's target of 5GW renewable and low carbon hydrogen production by 2030. ZeroAvia, at the forefront of zero-emission aviation, is already advancing flight testing for its hydrogen-electric engines. The company aims to support a 300-mile range in 9–19 seat aircraft by the end of 2025, with plans to extend the range to 700 miles in 40–80 seat aircraft by 2027.
