3XN and OMA will work together to develop a masterplan for BMW’s plant in Munich, accommodating a future in line with the industry’s transformation towards electric mobility and digitalization. The project will give the site a new public dimension by reinforcing the presence of production in the city, and will foster an environment in which human beings and machines will work in symbiosis. 3XN and OMA’s collaboration is the outcome of an international competition organized by BMW Group together with the City of Munich, which the two offices have jointly won. May 20 marks the plant's centennial.The OMA team is led by Rem Koolhaas, Katrin Betschinger and Alex de Jong.
