Eiffage, through its subsidiaries Eiffage Construction, Eiffage £nergie Systemes and Eiffage Route, secured an integrated contract from Just - Evotec Biologies, subsidiary of the German life science group Evotec, to build a biopharmaceutical production facility on its Campus Curie in Toulouse. The aim of the future production facility, named J.POD Toulouse France, is particularly to accelerate access to biological treatments for European populations.JPOD Toulouse France will occupy a three-part building incorporating offices and research labs, a dedicated production area in the middle and a logistics zone. This complex will enhance the existing infrastructure of the German group’s European research and development centre already established on the site.Eiffage Construction teams are operating on a general contracting basis on this project, for which they will be using low-carbon concrete. Eiffage £nergie Systemes is responsible for electrical systems, HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) installations, plumbing as well as fire safety systems. Eiffage Route will be creating the road network, using Biophalt® plant-based binder for all road surfaces, and is responsible for landscaping and green spaces.Works began recently on this cutting-edge production plant which is expected to be operational in the second half of 2024.
