Skanska will soon break ground on its newest project, located at 3901 N Fairfax Drive. Once completed, the 9-story trophy building will feature 191,000 square feet of office space, and 10,000 square feet of retail space, in addition to an 8,000 square foot community-focused public plaza adjacent to Quincy Park. Skanska previously announced the acquisition of the development site in late 2019. Skanska will manage the construction which is scheduled to be completed in 2023.Recently the International WELL Building Institute recognized the project as one of the first office buildings awarded a WELL Precertification in the Washington region. Additionally, the project at 3901 N Fairfax is targeting WiredScore and LEED Gold certifications.3901 Fairfax is one of the few remaining undeveloped parcels along the Rosslyn-Ballston Corridor. The project is positioned to serve as a neighborhood and community hub through its dynamic plaza and retail design. 3901 will provide an experience focused on health and wellness inside and outside the building. Tenants will have access to a rooftop conference center equipped with a catering kitchen and expansive rooftop deck, private outdoor space on select floors, ground level fitness center, and three levels of below-grade parking with electric car charging stations.
