Skanska has signed a contract with The Real Estate company Gangaren 13, a wholly owned company in the Electrolux Group, to expand Electrolux’s head office in Stockholm. The contract is worth approximately SEK 500 million. The project comprises approximately 9,000 square meters of office space, a fitness and pool facility and a restaurant spread over ten floors. The project also includes the construction of a courtyard on the low-rise part of the existing office property as well as solar cells on the roof and facade. Within the framework of the expansion, Skanska will also prepare for a planned housing project with 114 condominium apartments on top of one part of the office building.Both offices and future homes will be built mainly in wood with a certain brick element that will to a large extent be recycled.The project is set to start in the first quarter of 2022 and the project will be completed during the summer of 2024.
