Leading global development and construction firm Skanska has recently celebrated the topping out of OZMA, a 12-story, mixed-use development, at 44 M Street Northeast, in Washington, DC’s NoMa neighborhood. Representatives from Skanska and its construction partners commemorated the event with the signing of the last beam to be placed within the structure.Designed by Handel Architects, OZMA will feature 275 distinctive residential units, 7,700 square feet of retail space, and host 17,700 square feet of new and sophisticated indoor environments balanced with a comparable amount of outdoor amenity space. The ground floor will include a secret garden with connection to a library lounge, meeting and workspaces, fitness center with flex studio, art studio and gallery with a social bar and more. The penthouse offers a wellness center with tranquility cabanas, tea room with a refresh station, flex studio with an outdoor fireplace terrace, solarium garden and an expansive terrace with a heated pool, grills and firepits.OZMA is expected to be completed in 2024. Local brokerage, Papadopoulos Properties, will oversee leasing for the building’s 7,700 square feet of retail space.
