Togo’s Ministry of Investment Promotion recently organized a virtual ceremony for the signing of an economic partnership agreement and technical between our country Togo and Singapore Corporation Enterprise. This important signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding is part of the search for strategic partnerships for the promotion of investments and the continuous improvement of the business climate in Togo. The identification of this cooperation, which emanates from the strategic plan of the Ministry for the Promotion of Investment, aims to benefit from the expertise of the SCE in strategic areas and to attract Singaporean companies to Togo.
This MOU is not the first of its kind between Togo and Singapore. A partnership was concluded between the Ministry in charge of Planning and the SCE in 2010, then renewed in 2012. The MOU signed at the time covered the sectors of industry, infrastructure and technical and vocational training.
It appeared necessary to initiate an MOU which would make it possible to establish cooperation on concrete projects for which results could be quickly obtained. Togo will also collaborate in this context with Enterprise Singapore (ESG) , a second state agency responsible for promoting foreign trade and foreign investment by Singaporean companies.
