Transdev Germany was represented with a stand at the Cable Car World Trade Fair in Essen at the end of June. For the first time in Germany, urban cable cars were the focus of a combined Trade Fair and Congress. Attendees were able to learn all about the topic of urban cable cars. These can create new fast connections and ideally complement public transportation. One example is Transdev’s Transitable cable car system with 160 gondolas, which the Group has been operating in Colombia’s capital Bogotá since 2018.The 3.34-kilometer system has four stations and can transport up to 3,600 passengers per hour. The modern cable car connects the Ciudad Bolivar district, home to nearly one million people, with the Transmilenio bus rapid transit network, creating new mobility alternatives for people.
