In line with its commitment to support the populations affected by humanitarian crises, the CMA CGM Foundation is mobilized to ensure the transportation of emergency aid to Poland in coordination with the French government. The CMA CGM Foundation will use the CMA CGM Group's air freight capacity, mobilized free of charge, to act as fast as possible. This new mobilization is an extension of the CMA CGM Foundation's long-standing program, Containers of Hope, with humanitarian organizations. Since its launch, this program has enabled the free shipment of more than 15,000 tons of essential equipment (therapeutic food, medical equipment, educational supplies, etc.) on board CMA CGM Group ships and aircraft to more than 40 countries. It also follows the development of the CMA CGM AIR CARGO division, and the first humanitarian air operation carried out in May 2021. This operation was conducted in partnership with the crisis and support center of the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs. This emergency operation delivered 8 oxygen production units to Indian hospitals in record time, while the country was severely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
