An aluminium high pressure die casting Common Facility Centre is planned for construction at Chinnavedampatti in Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu in India by the Tamil Nadu Small Industries Development Corporation. The estimated cost for the same is expected to be INR 5.8 crores and will be deployed as part of the state government's Common Production Infrastructure programAlanz Die Casting Private Limited, the company floated for the project stated that this project will assist micro-units that are unable to take orders directly from tier-one and tier-two automobile manufacturers due to a lack of infrastructure. This facility is expected to have a hydraulic die casting machine, trimming press, and an electric furnace. The cluster's detailed project report was submitted to the government for approval. The centre will be Coimbatore's fourth micro-unit cluster.
