Aluminium Stewardship Initiative announced that that Chinalco-SWA Co Ltd has joined as a Production & Transformation member, bringing the total number of ASI Members to 172. Chinalco-SWA Co Ltd is located in Chongqing Xipeng Industrial Zone, it’s a state-owned “Low Carbon, Green Aluminum processing” enterprise. The Company was established in September 2004, has 400 employees, and an annual comprehensive production capacity of more than 400,000 tons. The Company is the “core base” of high-precision aluminum production, development and export in China, has international advanced high precision production lines for aluminum sheets, strips and foils, equipped with more than 80 sets equipments such as hot tandem tolling and cold tandem rolling facilities. The key equipments were imported from Germany, U.K, Japan, U.S.A, South Korea and Switzerland. There are 6 pillar products, including metal packaging, printing, electronic, decoration and construction, traffic and transportation as well as thermal transmission. The market covers the whole country, and the products are exported to Asia, Europe, North America, South America and other regions.
