The Highland Council have approved the proposal of GFG Alliance’s Alvance’s aluminum recycling plant next to the Lochaber smelter near Fort William in UK. The approved recycling plant plans to produce 80,000 tonnes aluminium billets at an investment of GBP 94 million.The recycling and casting plants are proposed on a site that was previously allocated for an alloy wheel plan but those plans were side-lined last year after GFG Alliance said that there had been a significant decline in car manufacturing.
