RUSAL together with Budweiser Brewing Group, CANPACK and ELVAL announce the launch of a pilot project to produce beer cans with the lowest carbon followed in Europe. The project will make five million 440 ml Budweiser cans of aluminum with the lowest carbon footprint, produced using inert anode technology and using renewable electricity. The products will be available at retail in the UK in the fall of 2021. The low carbon cans project is the result of a successful partnership of sustainable companies. RUSAL has produced aluminum under the ALLOW brand using advanced inert anode technology. This technology reduces the carbon footprint of aluminum to levels unprecedented in the industry. ELVAL divisions - ElvalHalcor from this metal and with the addition of secondary aluminum produced rolled products from which CANPACK UK produces cans. Renewable electricity is also used in production.The drinks will be bottled at the Budweiser Brewing Group UK breweries, also fully powered by renewable electricity.
