Scepter Inc has entered into a multi-year metal supply agreement with Novelis, through which the company will supply more than 200,000 tons of aluminum ingot with up to 95% recycled content. It said “Scepter is committed to use more scrap, reduce emissions, and contribute to the overall sustainability of aluminum. We are excited to partner with Novelis to continue these efforts. Our unique technology and capabilities will produce high quality ingot that meets bold sustainable objectives set by Novelis.”Novelis will utilize this ingot to will roll and finish high quality sheet products for the aluminum beverage cans and food container industry in the US.Headquartered in Waverly, TN, Scepter is a secondary aluminum recycling and trading company that produces a wide range of recycled products at facilities located in the US, Canada, and Europe. Since 1991, Scepter has produced rolling ingot from recycled scrap at its Waverly facility.
