Odisha’s Chief Minister Mr Naveen Patnaik has inaugurated India’s first zero-discharge aluminium dross processing unit in Jharsuguda. The facility has been developed up by Runaya Refining LLP and is a spearheading facility for the treatment and processing of aluminium dross. Runaya secured the license for the unique development of processing technology from TAHA International, a multidiscipline solutions provider offering innovative, environmentally friendly and cost-effective services, equipment and products to the aluminium and steel industries worldwide.

The aluminium dross processing technology is being launched for the first time in South Asia. Presently, the challenges countered by the aluminium industry are especially handling, evacuation and disposal of dross in an environment-friendly manner and the Jharsuguda project will address this.
