The Polar Division of PJSC MMC Norilsk Nickel in the Krasnoyarsk Territory has received 20 BELAZ-7555V mining dump trucks with a carrying capacity of 55 tons. After assembly and preparation, the new equipment will be used to implement strategic projects of Norilsk Nickel. The BELAZ quarry equipment, loaded onto railway platforms, covered a huge route to the Arctic port of Dudinka on the Yenisei River - the only port in the world operating in the mode of year-round navigation in the Far North. From there, 55-ton BELAZ-7555V trucks were sent to Norilsk to the place of assembly and subsequent operation - to the TsATK motor transport association, which is part of the Polar Division of Norilsk Nickel.
Dump trucks will go to the Talnakh direction. This is the construction of the Mokulaevskoye field, which belongs to the Sernoy project. In addition, the machines will be used in the construction of the second stage of the tailing dump under the TOF-3 PK project
Six out of twenty received dump trucks have already been assembled. The company expects that all assembly and preparatory work will take three to four months, which means that the first BELAZ trucks will be able to start the voyage in April.
Mining dump trucks BELAZ-7555V in the Arctic version are most suitable for operation in the harsh conditions of the Arctic at temperatures up to minus 50 degrees. 55-ton machines have high operational characteristics, are economical in terms of fuel and lubricants consumption.
