Global Times reported that an iron ore mining company in North China's Hebei Province has been brought under scrutiny for trying to cover up a deadly accident in February, which left six dead. An accident occurred on February 24 at Tuanchengdong Mining Co Ltd, a subsidiary under Wu'an Metallurgic Mine Company, in Hebei's Wuan city, when six miners fell to their dead in the process of lifting a shaft. The company didn't report the accident to the local government and relevant departments

Local authorities conducted an investigation on this firm soon after the information and have set up an investigation team to further deal with this accident and detained all company personnel involved, the notice said.
