Vale’s Coleman Mine, home to some of the company’s richest orebodies, celebrated 50 years of operations. Coleman Mine, a nickel-copper operation located near Levack, first became operational in 1970. The mine has gone through several phases of development over the past 50 years, including multiple expansions. It has also been home to new technologies, such as the first electric haulage vehicles in Vale’s Sudbury operations and the installation of an underground 4G LTE network.
Coleman Mine employs about 545 people.
